The Superhero Army
This is going to be one of my shorter stories as I had to wait until the Crusade Against Cancer was over today. I am proud to say the event this year turned out great. I wasn’t sure exactly how many participants we were going to have after the Covid Apocalypse stopped us from having it last year. I am happy to say we had almost double what I was expecting.
First, I need to thank all the sponsors that donated sponsorship money, or raffle prizes. Events like this are not possible without your help, and I deeply appreciate all of you.
Next I want to thank all the amazing volunteers that helped put all of this together. I am blessed to have an amazing group of volunteers that go out of their way to support the Foundation.
I want to thank the High Schools that signed up teams of students so they could raise funds to help the cancer families of their choice. A big congratulations to Hillcrest High School for signing up the most and winning the Crusade Against Cancer Superhero banner to display in their school.
Most important of all, I need to thank this amazing community for supporting this event and for reaching out to help the cancer community we have. I cannot come up with an accurate description of how much this fills my heart with warmth and love. I am genuinely blessed to live in this community and to have so many supporters.
There were so many great things that happened during the event, but by far my favorite was when the High Schools students presented the checks and gift cards to the cancer patients. The looks on their faces were priceless.
I am incredibly pleased with how this event turned out and I am looking forward to a bigger and better event net year. Thanks for reading.

P.S. Now if you’ll excuse me, Star Lord has another appointment that demands his complete attention. And by that I mean, he needs a nap.
