Happy Thanksgiving 2022
I would like to start by sharing some of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions. Eating way more than I should. Take an afternoon nap. Wake up and find more food to eat. Root against the Dallas Cowboys.
Over the last several years, I have been able to focus more on the true meaning of Thanksgiving. This year, I want to share some of the things I am most thankful for.
I am thankful to live in such a wonderful community. I have witnessed so many selfless acts of kindness and compassion from individuals, groups, and business’s. Their actions make me want to do everything I can to help.
I am thankful for my family, and all the love and support they give me. Whenever I have been in a difficult situation, they have always been there to support me and help in any way they can. I am especially thankful for Kristi and everything she does for me and for the love she gives me every day.
The most important thing I am thankful for is my Heavenly Father, and his plan of redemption and salvation for all of us. It seems like every day the world gets more corrupt, greedy, and evil. Every week there is a mass shooting somewhere and other terrible events. There are no easy explanations for these tragedies, and some people will use them to question the existence of our Heavenly Father. I will use these events to remind myself this life is a small period of our eternal existence. I will remind myself of the many blessings I have already received, and to be thankful for everything I do have. It is important to remember, life is not about what happens to you, it’s about what you do with it.
I hope all of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving this year, and you were able to enjoy it with family and friends. Thanks for reading.
Next week: Family is Everything
P.S. Dallas Cowboy fans, before you respond, I am a lifelong member of Raider Nation. There’s nothing you can say that can make it worse!
