Happy Birthday Jayci
Thursday was our sweet little Jayci’s 6th birthday. It’s hard to believe she is six years old already. It’s incredible how fast time flies. This week’s story is about the birthday fun we had last weekend with Jayci and her friends. It all started with Brittney coordinating a completely fun filled day.
The day started with all of the girls going to Austin Kade to get their hair and nails done. The next step was probably the most important of all. Brittney had arranged to surprise the girls by getting picked up from Austin Kade in a limo. The reason I say this was the most important part was Brittney had made sure the World’s Best Limo Driver was the one to pick them up. Now just in case you are not aware, I have the official title of World’s Best Limo Driver. (Of course, I am the one that has given me that title!)
We took the girls to Possibly Picasso and it was so much fun looking at all the cute ceramics they painted. It was so fun to listen to them talk and giggle as they were doing it. From there we took them on a short limo ride before we took them to the party. It was so sweet to hear them playing in the back and listening to music. They were singing along to the songs they picked out. I heard one of the girls say this was the best ride she has ever been on. That made me so happy!
The party was at Papa Tom’s, and it was fun to pull up in a limo and drop them off at the front door. The look on some of the customers faces when they noticed all the little girls climbing out of the limo was priceless. Kristi and I went and parked the limo at the same time Justin pulled up. When we walked into Papa Tom’s, Jayci saw Justin and shouted “Grandpa!” and came over and gave him a big hug. The look on Justin’s face was precious, and it filled me with so much warmth.
The party was so much fun, and it was so cute to watch Jayci open her presents. Kristi and I talked on the way home about Brittney and how much hard work she put in to making Jayci’s birthday so special. She is such a great Mom, and we are all so proud of her. It was a wonderful night and one I will always remember in my heart. I have found that making special family memories are one of the most important things you can do. They are the most precious gifts you can have. Thanks for reading.
Next week: Remember to Vote
P.S. It was a wonderful night because Jayci did not put me in time-out. I’m sure she didn’t so I could drive the limo, but I’ll take it.
