The One Week Countdown
As of the time of posting this story, there will be officially 6 days left until I will be married! Now I know it’s probably bad luck to say that for sure, because there are always circumstances that come up that could change things. We could have a bad snowstorm that would keep everyone from traveling. We could have a change of the Covid Apocalypse policy banning any public gatherings. Kristi could come to her senses! There are other conditions that could also come into play, but I will remain optimistic!
To be completely serious, I know most of you that have been following my stories know how we met and how excited we both are. I would just like to let Kristi know how much she means to me and why I am so excited and honored to be her husband.
Kristi, I appreciate how much you have supported me with my business and my new job. It is comforting to me that when I have challenges to deal with, I can always call you and you make everything all right. It is reassuring to know that I can always tell you the email reply I want to send, so I don’t actually have to send it and make matters worse!
I am grateful for all the support you have given the Foundation. I am honored to have you by my side at all the fundraising events we have attended. It is so heartwarming to listen to you talk with people, and how you have helped promote the Foundation to so many people.
Kristi, I want you to know how much I admire the complete kindness and compassion you have for everyone. I have watched countless trials people have gone through, and your first reaction always is to help in any way you can. Regardless of the situation, you are the first to offer to make them a meal. You are the first to offer to come over to their house and help. You are the first to offer to watch their kids, if they need to go somewhere. It has never mattered what the situation is, you always put their needs in front of your own. You inspire me to be as kind and thoughtful as you are.
Kristi, I want you to know EVERYONE in my family loves you and they are so happy for me! I promise you that I will work as hard as I can to be the kind of man you can be proud of, and the kind of man that will make your Mom and Dad happy.
I want to thank everyone for your kind wishes for our wedding and your support. Thanks for reading.
Next week: No story. HONEYMOON!!
P.S. I recognize that I am marrying way out of my league, but no need to worry. I’m okay with it.
