Moving Forward
Okay, if you are reading this it means we survived a Friday the Thirteenth in 2020. That is about the scariest thing I can think of. It ranks right up there with me checking into a City League basketball game with all five of my fouls left.
This week’s story is going to focus on how we move forward from the election. At the time of posting this story, there are still some recounts and challenges going on, but it appears Joe Biden will be our next President. It doesn’t matter if you voted for Biden, Trump, or someone else. It is time we choose the path we are going to take to move forward.
It is my opinion there has been so much passion about who we were going to vote in as President, and we have failed to hold the other politicians from all political parties in the House and Senate responsible. The fact they have voted to exempt themselves from Insider Trading laws proves to me just how dishonest and corrupt it has gotten. I have read and listened to so many people say it is time for term limits for Congress. I completely agree it should be the same as it is for the President and Vice President. The only problem is they are never going to vote themselves out of office. Term limits for these positions need to happen at the ballot box. I believe as a country we should all agree to vote for a new candidate at the end of the second term of each politician. That is the only way we can truly have term limits, but it needs to be done for each party and each politician.
I have learned that no matter what happens in life, whether it’s an election or anything that creates change, the best and only thing you can do is decide what you are going to do to make the best out of it. With that in mind, I plan to focus on moving forward by helping as many people in our community as I can with the amazing support and generous donations you have given to the Foundation. I will continue to focus on being the kind of man that my family can be proud of. This is how I plan to move forward.
There are many things we can all be grateful for, and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate all your support. Thanks for reading.
Next week: It’s a surprise
P.S. As we move forward, it’s important to have some consistency. So I will continue to foul consistently. I am such a thoughtful person don’t you think?
P.P.S. I really think we should have given Kanye West a chance.
